Sony Xperia X & XA launched- Real Flagship?

Sony launched the new X series of their smartphone to India. The new Xperia X and Xperia XA are priced at Rs. 48,990 and Rs 20,990 respectively. The Xperia X will be going on sale from June 7 onwards, while the Xperia XA will be available sometime in the third week of June. Pre-registrations for the smartphones start on Amazon India Both devices will also be available with freebies worth Rs 2,700.

This new X series from Sony replaces the old Xperia Z series. According to the pricing, it seems that Xperia X series is the new Flagship series from Sony. The Xperia XA, on the other hand, is a mid-range device.

Sony Xperia X competes with other flagship like Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10, LG G5 in terms of price. Whereas the mid range device Xperia XA competes with Lenovo Vibe X3, Nexus 5X, Moto X Play in terms of price.

Sony has also come up with some free worth over Rs 2,700. These include free three months subscription for Sony LIV, free three months subscription for Hungama Play, Kindle e-books worth Rs 1,000, and pre-installed games like Modern Combat with free credits worth Rs 780.

Even though Sony has introduced the new Xperia in the high end range but it does not stand anywhere with other flagship in terms of specification.

Same as with the the new Xperia XA, which is priced at Rs 20,990 does not stand anywhere with other devices such as Lenovo Vibe X3, Nexus 5X, Moto X Play.
