Sony Launches Slimmest Android TV in India

Sony launches it’s 4K Slimmest  Android TV powered by smart LED TVs in India. The company claims it to be Slimmest Android TV in the world with thickness of 4.9mm, which the users can buy from August onwards.

Sony launches a wide range of displays starting from 43 inch to 75 inch and include 5 new series with 13 models starting from 69,900 for 43 inch FHD LED TV.

The android TV runs Android 5.0 out of the box, offering a variety TV apps from Google Play Store including Voice Search, Google Cast and connectivity with accessories. It also include Notify Bravia app to push notifications from Android smartphones to TVs.

The series features a new floating style and making it Sony’s Slimmest Android TV yet with edge-to-edge viewing. Sony will offer 55-inch and 65-inch variants in this range. It was first unveiled at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

The TV’s screen has a 3840x2160p (4K) resolution, and includes Sony’s Triluminos display technology to accurately reproduce shades of red, green and aqua blue, as per Sony. It boasts of the new 4K Processor X1 that enables advanced clarity, colour accuracy and contrast, as per the company. With the advanced 4K X-Reality PRO up-scaling algorithm technology, the television analyzes non 4K content and upscales it to 4K resolution.
