After all the rumors and leaks about Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, Samsung has now finally confirmed that Samsung Exynos 9 Series will soon be out, and hopefully, it will be used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Samsung Exynos Twitter handle has recently tweeted a teaser for the Samsung Exynos 9 Series chipset, with a coming soon disclaimer on it.
As per previous trends, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus with both Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and its own Exynos chipset, which will vary depending on the regions. All the rumors and leaks will only be confirmed when they officially come out, although Samsung will showcase a one-minute teaser of the Galaxy S8 in MWC, Barcelona, on February 28. Also, Samsung is officially going to announce the launch date of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
According to rumors and leaks, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a dual-curved edge display. The front panel will have a comprise of bezel-less design, without the traditional home button, with the fingerprint sensor placed at the back. While earlier, some reports hinted at Samsung dropping the 3.5mm audio jack, but most of the recent leaks have suggested that the device would retain the headphone jack.
As far as specifications are concerned, Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch QHD display while Galaxy S8 Plus will sport a 6.2-inch QHD display. Both the variants will have Super AMOLED display. Both the variants will have Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the Galaxy S8 Plus is expected to house 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The camera department, the Galaxy S8 is likely to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, along with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. While the Galaxy S8 will be powered by a 3,250mAh battery, the larger variant could boast a 3,750mAh battery. The smartphone is will come with USB Type-C support. Other expected features include built-in Bixby – Samsung’s own digital assistant, and an iris scanner.
