A few days back, OnePlus had sent invites for its event which planned for October 12th, which will held at Bangalore. The event will be attended by the company’s CEO Pete Lau and India’s General Manager, Vikas Agrawal. As per our assumptions, OnePlus might announce the rumored mid-range smartphone called OnePlus X along with some important announcements.
V. Agrawal had earlier hinted by saying, “We’re introducing a new device by the end of this year. Diwali would be the ideal time, but next quarter for sure. It would be a global launch, but India will be the biggest focus.” The OnePlus X is expected to be priced aggresively around $249 (which is approximately Rs 16,320).
Earlier the phone was spotted on FCC website, which hints at a design change, compared to the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. If the rumored specifications are to be believed, It could offer a 5-inch display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, a dual-camera setup at the back, and a fingerprint sensor as well. Some other speculations also hint at a MediaTek processor, instead of the one made by Qualcomm.
OnePlus also recently announced on its blog that on October 12, OnePlus 2 on open sale for an entire hour, between 12:00 PM to 1 PM. During the open sale, users can buy the smartphone without any the “invites”.
