After a long wait, OnePlus has confirmed the launch of it’s flagship smartphone – OnePlus 3, on June 15. The launch event will be live streamed in virtual reality and will begin at 7.30AM IST (10AM in China) on June 15.
A few weeks back OnePlus had unveiled that the upcoming smartphone will be showcased in virutal reality and its newly created virtual space station called ‘The Loop’. OnePlus had announced its Loop VR headset, which will be exclusively available on Amazon India for Re. 1(excluding shipping charges). The headset will go on sale via the official Amazon India App and will take place on June 3 and June 7 at 12 PM IST.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will no longer use the pathetic Invite System which they used for OnePlus One, OnePlus Two and OnePlus X.
Expected Specification and Features of OnePlus 3
The OnePlus 3 might accomodate 6GB of RAM which was recently spotted on China’s TENAA certification site. It had also recently passed US’ FCC certification.
From the leaks and romours it is expexted that, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It will also come with 64GB of onboard storage, but there is no word on whether it will be expandable or not.
In the camera section, a combination of 16-megapixel rear and 8-megpaixel front facing cameras is expected. It is also likely to come with 3,000mAh non-removable battery along with ‘Dash Charge’ feature, which the company recently patented. With connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and USB Type-C port, the OnePlus 3 is likely to run on Android Marshmallow based OxygenOS.
It is expected that OnePlus should launch the device with aggressive pricing as their earlier releases.
