Netflix – The global content streaming service announced today that, they have signed up with Airtel and Videocon d2h direct-to-home (DTH) services in India. As per the agreement, the Netflix app will soon be incorporated into Airtel and Videocon set-top boxes, according to the latest report from IANS.
Netflix will provide the exclusive content like House of Cards, Narcos and The Crown via these two DTH services throughout the country. Videocon has already started to test the new set-top-boxes that will come pre-installed with Netflix app and a dedicated button on the remote control.

“We are delighted to have Netflix as a partner on our HD Smart Connect STB. This partnership strengthens our DNA of innovation by providing an instant TV screen experience for Netflix users in a seamless manner”.
Finally, Netflix will also partner with Vodafone on pre-paid programs and will enable payment integration, allowing Vodafone customers in India to pay for their Netflix subscriptions via their monthly bill.
