Today Microsoft announced it’s budget friendly device “Lumia 550” which operates exclusively on Microsoft’s latest OS Windows 10. According to Microsoft, Lumia 550 delivers the best Windows 10 experience.
The Lumia 550 is priced at $139 (approximately Rs 9,100) and will be available in the early December this year. As of now, there is no word on the pricing and Indian availability.
The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset which is clocked at 1GHz quad-core processor with Adreno 304 GPU paired with 1GB of RAM. Also offers 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. A 4.7-inch HD display (1280×720 pixels) covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to keep scratches away.
It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing selfie camera. With 2,100mAh battery, the smartphone will include connectivity features such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
