LG G6 launched in India at Rs. 51,990 – Full Vision Quad HD Display, Dual 13MP Rear Camera

LG has launched its flagship LG G6 smartphone at an event in India, as it had promised. It was introduced at MWC 2017 event in Barcelona back in February.

Firstly, it comes with Dual camera setup on the rear side of the device. Coming to the design, this device comes with thin bezels which make it an effective 5.7-inch display despite it comprises of 5.2-inch form factor. This 5.7-inch is a FullVision display that occupies 90% of the real estate on the front. It comes with QuadHD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) OLED panel and has an 18:9 aspect ratio. It also supports DolbyVision and HDR 10 display technologies for better viewing experience.

LG G6 is powered by a snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB RAM. It comes with 32GB UFS2.0 internal storage which can be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The left side has volume buttons, whereas the right side has a SIM card tray. The bottom houses the speaker and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. LG G6 is IP68 certified, that is, water and dust resistant.

LG has also added support for 32-bit Quad DAC for superior audio performance. On the software front, the G6 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with a layer of LG’s UX 6 running on top. It is also the first non-Pixel smartphone to come pre-loaded with Google Assistant.

G6 now includes two 13MP sensors – one is a wide-angle lens with a field of view of 125-degrees and aperture f/2.4, whereas the other is a standard lens with a field of view of 71-degrees, aperture f/1.8 and optical image stabilization (OIS). These cameras let you capture both standard and wide angle photos. The rear camera also supports 4K video with smooth optical zoom functionality.

The camera app will come with special shooting modes such as 1:1 mode which is apt for Instagram photos, a food mode, grid shot, match shot, guide shot and 360-degree mode. Up front, a 5-megapixel snapper of aperture f/2.2 is also present for selfies and video calling.

LG G6 packs a 3300mAh battery which supports quick charge 3.0 with Type-C port. The device comes with a metal frame and glass back body. It will be available in three different color variants – Ice Platinum / Mystic White / Astro Black,  is priced at Rs. 51,990 and will be available from tomorrow, April 25th exclusively on Amazon online and from stores. Those who purchase it tomorrow also get Rs. 10,000 Amazon cashback.
