Honor had launched an entry-level Honor Bee smartphone in India back in May 2015. Today, the company has quietly launched the phone’s successor called the Honor Bee 2 in the country, according to the Mumbai-based independent mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom. The Bee 2 was originally launched as the Huawei Y3II in China last year. The budget phone comes with a compact display, 4G LTE, and VoLTE (voice over LTE) support.
The Honor Bee 2 packs a 4.5-inch display bearing a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.0GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor, mated to 1GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 8GB, which can be further increased up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. It boasts a 2,100mAh battery, which is also accompanied by a power saving mode. On the Software, it boots Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 Lite on top.

As far as the camera is concerned, it features a 5MP rear shooter with a dual-LED flash and a 2MP front shooter. The phone features a Rainbow LED notification light around the camera module, which flashes different colors based on the type of notifications. There’s also an Easy Key on the side of the device, which lets you quickly access three of your favorite apps.

The Honor Bee 2 has been priced at Rs 6,999 and is available via major brick-and-mortar stores across the country. The phone is being offered in three hues – Arctic White, Obsidian Black, and Sand Gold.
