Recently Samsung launched two new galaxy devices “Galaxy Note 5” & “Galaxy S6 Edge+” in an unpacked event in New York. Galaxy Note 5 is an updated variant of it’s predecessor “Galaxy Note 4”, Here’s a list of top 5 features of Galaxy Note 5.
Improved S Pen: Galaxy Note series differentiates itself with other devices in the market because of it’s S Pen functionality. Samsung has made it really easy to take out the stylus by adding a push-to-eject mechanism. Samsung also says that the stylus is now more sensitive and accurate than before.
Also, the company has made improvements on the software front. The Air Command menu for one has been redesigned, and now also lets you add shortcuts to your favorite apps. You can add up to five app shortcuts to the Air Command menu. With the Galaxy Note 5, Samsung has also made it much easier to take quick notes using the S Pen. Rather than going through the task of unlocking the phablet and then taking notes, you can start scribbling even when the display is off.
Camera: Samsung’s flagship smartphones lately boast some of the best cameras we have come across in the high-end segment. The cameras on the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6, and the Galaxy S6 Edge were pretty impressive, and early impressions of the camera on the Galaxy Note 5 are the same.
The Galaxy Note 5 features a 16-megapixel f/1.9 aperture rear camera with optical image stabilization, as well as a new feature called video digital image stabilization (VDIS) that will ensure smooth videos. Up front, the company has bumped up the selfie camera from 3.7-megapixels on the Galaxy Note 4 to 5-megapixels on the Galaxy Note 5.
YouTube live streaming: The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a live-streaming feature built into the phablet’s camera app. You can hit the live streaming button to start broadcasting your video directly on your YouTube channel. This live video can be viewed anywhere from a smartphone, tablet, smart TV or any computer.
Fast Wireless Charging: Samsung may have slightly reduced the size of the battery on the Galaxy Note 5, but it has ensured that you can quickly charge it without much hassle. The phablet supports wireless charging (Qi and PMA) and Quick Charging as well. With the convenience of wireless charging you can charge the phablet’s battery from zero to 100 percent in just less than two hours.
Fingerprint Sensor: Before Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, the fingerprint scanners on its smartphones were far from being good. With the Galaxy Note 5, Samsung has opted for the new and improved fingerprint sensor found on Samsung’s flagship smartphones launched earlier this year. The fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy Note 5 can be used for passwords, in-app purchases, and Samsung Pay as well.
