Google has revealed the distribution chart of different android version’s market share. Android Nougat market share is growing gradually and is currently running on 2.8% of the smartphones compared to 1.2% in the month of February. Whereas, Android Marshmallow is running on the 31.3% of the devices compared to 30.7% share in February.
Android Lollipop still takes the lead and maintains the maximum market share of 32.5% (after combining both Android 5.0 & 5.1). Whereas, Lollipop was running on 32.9% of the devices including both smartphones and tablets.
Android 4.4 KitKat remains fairly popular with 20.8% of the Android OS. Jelly Bean comes next with 10.8%, followed by Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread, both still on 1% of Android devices.

Hopefully, Over the next few months, we should see Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 pick up more share as new flagships start to get released with the build pre-installed on these new models out of the box.
