Google’s first distribution chart of 2017 is out. Android Nougat market share is growing gradually and is currently running on 0.7% of the smartphones. Whereas, Android Marshmallow is running on the 29.6% which is an increase to the 26.3% in the previous month.
Android Lollipop (5.0/5.1) has decreased from 34% to 33.4% this month while KitKat (4.4) is also down from 24% to 22.6%. Jelly Bean (Android 4.1-4.3) claimed 11.6 percent in January, down from 12.8% in December. Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread are present on 1.1% and 1.0% respectively.
The main highlight here is that Google has decided to dissolve Froyo version of the OS. As its numbers have gone down below 0.1%.
