Xiaomi reduces the price of Redmi 2 in India

Xiaomi India has reduced the price of Redmi 2, its budget smartphone by Rs 1,000. The phone is now available at Rs 5,999, Xiaomi’s official website.

On top of this, Flipkart is also running an exchange offer on Redmi 2, as low as Rs 3,999, depending on the value of your old phone.
This 4G-capable smartphone was originally launched in India in March this year at Rs 6,999.

At the new price, Xiaomi Redmi 2 is competing with the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duos, Huawei Honor Holly, Android One Devices, CoolPad Dazen 1 and Lava Iris X1 Grand.
