Microsoft launches Surface Pro 4 & Surface Pro 3 in India

Today Microsoft launched Surface Pro 4 & Surface Pro 3 tablet in India. First Six Months the tablet will be available exclusively via Amazon. Users can preorder the tablet but the shipping will begin starting January 14. Pricing of the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro Pro 3 begins at Rs 89,990 and Rs 73,990 respectively.

Surface Pro 4 is the first Surface tablet from Microsoft to officially launch in India, it runs on Windows 10 pro and is powered sixth generation Intel processors ( m3, i5, or i7). The tablet packs a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display with 2736×1824 pixels resolution and pixel density of 267ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

Microsoft is offering a bunch of varieties such as – 4GB, 8GB and 16GB RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage. Other important features of the tablet include 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, stereo speakers with Dolby audio, USB 3.0, and TPM chip for enterprise security.

Apart from the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft has a couple of accessories – Surface Pen and a Surface Type Cover which are also compatible with Surface Pro 3. The keyboard is available for Rs  12,490, while the Surface Pen is priced at Rs 5,990. The  power supply unit comes for Rs 8,490.

The Surface Pro 3 has an 12-inch display with 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution. The tablet is available in 128GB storage with 4GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage with 8GB RAM variants. It has 5 megapixel rear-facing and front facing cameras.  The Pro 3 also comes with stereo speakers with Dolby sound. Connectivity options include USB 3.0, Mini Display Port and Cover port. Price starts at Rs. 73,990 for the core i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage model.
