Lenovo Vibe S1 lite announced in CES 2016

Last year Lenovo launched the dual-selfie camera in there “Vibe S1”, which was up for sale in at the end of the year 2015. Today at CES 2016 Lenovo has launched a similar variant of the smartphone, called Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite.

The hightlighting factor of Vibe s1 was the dual-selfie camera setup that houses an 8 MP for capturing photos and a 2 MP for capturing depth information. While the Vibe S1 Lite misses on the dual-selfie camera but it has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper with Sony-made image sensor alongside a LED flash.

Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite comes with a different processor, lower RAM and storage, but features a bigger battery in comparison to the Vibe S1.

Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite variant packs a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also comes with 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

As far as camera is concerned, 8-megapixel selfie camera, the Vibe S1 Lite also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and BSI image sensor. It also features a 2,700mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots (hybrid), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI out of the box.

Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite is priced at $199, which roughly translates to Rs 13,200. Lenovo plans on starting the roll out in the coming weeks. In comparison, the Lenovo Vibe S1 was launched in India for Rs 15,999.
