Intex Aqua Fish with Sailfish OS 2.0 launched at Rs 5,499

Intex had unveiled Intex Aqua Fish based on Sailfish OS 2.0 at MWC earlier this year. Now, the company has launched the Intex Aqua Fish in India at a price of Rs. 5,499, the smartphone will go on sale in ebay.com. It will soon be available through Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon in the coming weeks.

Initially, the company had aimed to launch the Sailfish OS-based smartphone in November last year. Intex had said it would launch a smartphone under Rs 10,000 with 4G connectivity and Sailfish OS. Intex also happens to be Jolla’s first licensing partner for the operating system.

The smartphone will face tough competition from the likes of Phicomm Energy 670 and Reliance Digital LYF Flame 1 among other popular entry-level 4G Android smartphones.
