Fitbit Alta HR Family

Fitbit Alta HR launched in India for Rs 14,999 – World’s Slimmest Fitness Wristband

Fitbit has launched its new product in India called the “Fitbit Alta HR“. This device comes with a bunch of features like PurePulse heart rate technology, automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking, a battery life of up to seven days and smart notifications in a slim, versatile design that is easily customized to fit your style.

Fitbit Alta HR is the successor to the Alta, which was launched last year in February. It also provides call, text and calendar alerts and allows users to customize clock faces. Fitbit Alta HR can calculate the usual number of steps, distance, calorie burn, and active minutes. The company claims that the battery on the Alta HR lasts up to seven days on a single charge.

Fitbit has also introduced two new sleep tools called Sleep Stages and Sleep Insights.

  • Sleep Stages, which is powered by PurePulse, uses accelerometer data and heart rate variability to calculate the amount of time one spends in light, deep and REM sleep. It also calculates the time spent awake at night to better understand one’s sleep quality.
  • Sleep Insights executes this by using Fitbit data gained from over 3 billion nights of logged sleep to provide a personalized guidance on how much sleep is required and how to improve it for better overall health.

Sleep Stages will be available globally in Spring this year and is compatible with Alta HR, Blaze and Charge 2 devices as well. Whereas, Sleep Insights will be compatible with all Fitbit devices.
