Dell XPS 13 2-in-1

Dell announces XPS 13 2-in-1 with Infinity Edge Display

Dell has unveiled the new models in the XPS 13 2-in-1 series. The convertible XPS 13 now sport an infinity edge display with 5.2mm on top and on the sides. These laptops are sleek at 8-13.7mm, hence there are no fans so no spinning noise with 360-degree functionality. This XPS laptop is made from a premium material like machine aluminum, carbon fiber and hardened Corning Gorilla Glass for durability and superior experience.

XPS 13 laptops have Quad HD IPS display with 5.7 million pixels, 170-degree viewing angle, and 400-nit screen. An anti-reflective coating gives the display a glossy finish without high glare, beneficial for outdoor use.

Dell claims 15 hours of battery life with basic productivity usages like Excel or Word on a Full HD display whereas, 9 hours of battery life with Netflix streaming. Apart from this, Dell also has a Dell Hybrid Adapter + Powerbank which can give an additional backup of 11 hours and 45 minutes.

The laptops have a 7th Gen i5 & i7 processor which are 10% more powerful compared to last year model. The Memory can be expanded up to 16GB with 1TB SSD. They come with 2 USB Type-C which support both charging and display functionality, one thunderbolt 3.0 port, multi-use port than can charge your device, power up to two 4K displays and supports one cable docking. Dell also ships USB A to USB C adapter with every system as well. The Keyboard is backlit and also incorporate a precision touchpad.

These XPS systems do support a stylus just as we saw in the Microsoft surface pro. The optional Dell Active Pen, with thousands of levels of pressure sensitivity at a pro-level precision (2048), allows for a more natural handwriting experience, mimicking the standard pen experience up to the highest possible level. Quick response, optimized pen tip materials, and palm
rejection also contribute to making the pen feel that comes as close to writing on paper when you are taking notes or drawing.
